Dhulikhel - A popular sunset destination
A mere 34 km east of Kathmandu is Dhulikhel, a famous hill station and tourist destination. From Dhulikhel one can see panoramic views of the middle Himalaya. This historical Newar town is found on the main Arniko Highway towards the Tibet border. One needs a visit of two days or more to take in the many sites around Dhulikhel.

Day 01: Transfer to Dhulikhel, Arrival and check-in at your hotel/resort. Dinner and overnight in Dhulikhel.

Dhulikhel Extensions
1 Day Manegaon and Lamidanda Hike
This extension departs for Resort after breakfast. It’s a 25 minute coach ride to the start point of this scenic day hike. The trail undulates through the hills to Shashipani and Mitini Gaon for around two hours. You will be provided with a packed lunch. A further two hours of trekking takes you to Manegaon, a picturesque Tamang village, before trekking downhill to Lamidanda. From here we return back to our Resort by vehicle, it’s around a one hour drive. Enjoy an authentic cultural show and dinner in the evening.
1 Day Namobuddha and Panauti Hike and sightseeing
After breakfast at Resort, take the 30 minute scenic drive to Kavre Bhanjyang. From here it’s a 2 hour steady uphill hike to Phulbari where you will have a packed lunch. Another 45 minutes of hiking takes you to Namobuddha monastery and shrine where you will have time for sightseeing. Leaving behind Namobuddha, the hike continues downhill and flat for two hours through the farming country side to Panauti Bazaar from where you will be picked up and driven back to the resort. Enjoy an authentic cultural show and dinner in the evening.
Cost for Extended night will be on pro rata basis.
