Kathmandu Valley Cultural Trekking Trail

The Kathmandu Valley Cultural Trekking Trail is a newly established trekking route that traverses around the north eastern part of the valley rim. This trekking trail has been established by a local NGO called NETIF (Nepal Environment & Tourism Initiative Foundation) who work in the field of tourism and environmental development. The project is jointly funded by NETIF and their INGO partner Suomen Latu, an outdoor activities group from Finland.

The trek itself is a fabulous way to explore the diverse culture and dramatic scenery along the valley rim. Its proximity to Kathmandu makes it a superb trek for those people who only have a short stay in Nepal. The route can also be enjoyed by diplomas and residents as well as Nepalese families.
