Trekking in Annapurna Region
The Annapurna massif and its surrounding foothills offer one of the most spectacular treks in the world. Justifiably, the Annapurna circuit has become renowned as one of the world’s greatest treks. Whilst the full circuit trek, consisting of a 21-23 days trek, is for the more adventurous trekkers who have the appropriate physical condition and the necessary time on hand, the Annapurna area also offers a multitude of shorter treks. Treks here range from day hikes out of Pokhara to short treks of three to four days or excursions of a week or a fortnight. The Annapurna region provides endless possibilities for trekking. The Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) is actively working towards the development and conservation of the entire region.
Trekking in Everest Region
In the Everest area, you will find yourself in the world’s highest region, surrounded by soaring mountain peaks, including the highest mountain in the world, Mt. Everest (8,848m). You will definitely be fully satisfied from this trip, trekking next to one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. Trekking in the Everest region is bound to be one of the most excited and life-enriching adventures you will ever experience. You will trek in an average altitude of 3,800m in the north-east area of the Nepal.
Trekking in Langtang Region
Found to the north of Kathmandu in the central Himalayan region, is Nepal’s second largest national park, Langtang National Park which covers a total area of 1710 square kilometers. The park is abundant with culture, nature and wildlife and its proximity to Kathmandu make it a popular trekking destination. In the park, trekkers can find Red Panda, Himalayan black Bear, Snow Leopard, Ghoral, Serow, Wild Dogs and more than 373 species of birds. Also, close views of Langtang Lirung (7,225m), Langtang Ri (7,205m), Dorje Lahkpa (6,966m), Lempo Gang (6,875m), Shisapangma (8,013m) and Phurbi Chyachu (6,637m) are the major attractions along with cultural & natural diversities.
Trekking in Kanchenjunga Region
Passing through the remote and unspoiled far eastern part of Nepal, this classic trek to Kanchenjunga, the third highest peak in the world, provides an incredible variety of scenery and cultural diversity. Starting from the low lands of Eastern Nepal, the route passes through cultivated farmland and villages and leads along rivers and across picturesque landscapes. Higher up, Tibetan villages with wooden houses, prayer flags and mani stones are encountered. Throughout the trek you will be greeted with stunning views of the Himalaya including Jannu, Cho Oyu, Pang Pema and Kanchenjunga. This is one of the most beautiful treks in the Himalaya.
Trekking in Kathmandu Valley
The Kathmandu Valley Cultural Trekking Trail is a newly established trekking route that traverses around the north eastern part of the valley rim. This trekking trail has been established by a local NGO called NETIF (Nepal Environment & Tourism Initiative Foundation) who work in the field of tourism and environmental development. The project is jointly funded by NETIF and their INGO partner Suomen Latu, an outdoor activities group from Finland.
