Day 1: Kathmandu – Zhangmu
After breakfast, drive to Kodari Border and cross the Broder (Friendship bridge). Our guide will arrange transport to Zhangmu, a tibetan city near by Nepali Border. Overnight in a hotel.
Day 2: Zhangmu – Dhingri – Rongbuk (Rhongbuk Monastery)
Get up early and brekafast. After breakfast drive ascending to Rongbuk via Dhingri and arriving in the Tibetan Plateau. Visit to Rhongbuk Monastery located at the north face of the Mt. Everes. It is the highest monatery in the World and overnight in a hotel.
Day 3: Rongbuk – Lhatse – Shigatse
Get up early morning and have spectacular view of the Himalaya and the sunrise effect on the Mt. Everest. After breakfast, drive by TOYOTA 4WD vehicle, croos the Gyamtso La Pass of 5200m and continue driving to Lhatse via Xiegeer Town. Visit Tashilhunpo Monastery and Overnight in Shigatse.
Day 4: Shigatse – Yamdrok Yumtso Lake – Lhasa (approximately 380km, with 200km bad road)
Morning, drive to Shigatse along the south approach, en route visit Mt. Gangbala, Yamdrok Yumtso Lake, and Shigatse plain, then drive to Lhasa. After 6-7 hrs drive, arrive in Lhasa, Capital city of Tibetan Province and overnight in one of fine hotels in Lhasa.
Day 5: Lhasa – Yangparchen – Namtso Lake-Lhasa
Drive from Lhasa to Yangparchen, it is about 5 hours driving totally.Visit Yangparchen geothermal power plant, enjoy a hot spring(30-50RMB/person).then drive to Namtso lake which is one of three holy lakes in Lhasa. After that, drive back to Lhasa and overnight in Lhasa.
Day 6: Drepung Monestery & Sera Monastery
Full day guided sightseeing,visit Drepung Monestery which is of great historical importance not only in that it produced some of Tibet”s most renowned spiritual leaders, but also in that it always enjoyed significant political influence and Sera Monastery which is dedicated to the Gelugpa or Yellow Hat Sect, a branch of Tibetan Buddhism, founded by Tsong Khapa overnight in Lhasa.
Day 7: Potala & Jokhang Monastery
Full day guided sightseeing, visit Potala Palace, Jokhang Monastery which famed as the holy place for Tibet Mandala, and souvenir shopping in Barkhor Street and photographing along Lhasa river side, later transfer to hotel and overnight.
Day 8:
Breakfast and Fly back to your home land from Lhasa Intl Airport or return back vice-verse.
